ELEANOR (ELLIE) BUSAM

May 16, 1934 - July 25, 2017

Our loving Mom went to her heavenly home on July 25, 2017 in the comfort of her home in Perry Township. She will be missed so much as she was loved so much. Our Mom was the glue that held our family together. Her faith and love for Christ helped her during her battle with cancer. She was at peace knowing she would be reunited with family and friends who have passed. She was joyful knowing that her Savior would be greeting her as she transitioned to her heavenly home.

Eleanor Janice Elkins was born May 16, 1934 in Lakewood, California to George Wallace Elkins and Nellie Eleanor Elkins. Eleanor was the love of Frank’s life. She was married to Frank G. Busam for 62 years. After the wedding they left together for Frank’s hometown in Detroit to start their new life together.

Eleanor was the proud mother of Laurie Pascoe (Terry), Nancy Pacosky (Albert), and Greg Busam (Silvina). Her sister’s daughter and son came to live with our family for several years; Mary Jo Preslar (Norm) and Ricky Tyler (deceased) held a special place in each other’s hearts. She has seven grandchildren, Heather Pascoe (Phil), Sean Pascoe, Alex Pacosky (Stephanie), Rachel Bock (Chris), Cristina Cognati (Anthony), Monica Busam (fiancé Dan), and Gregory Busam. She was the proud G.G. (Great Grandma) to Dakota Rae Pascoe, Payton Baylee Pascoe, and Ethan Pascoe. She had several loving nieces and nephews as well.

Ellie enjoyed sailing and was a member of Fairport Harbor Yacht Club. She enjoyed arranging luncheons at church, assisted for meals for Project Hope and food distribution for the needy. She enjoyed Bridge with her lifelong friends; Sandy, Helen, Jackie, and Sue.
